We are Karina and Jenn, lifelong animal lovers and proud rescue dog moms to Thunder, Duke, and Mr. Miles. For over 18 years, we’ve been rescuing dogs together and they’ve rescued us right back. Our home is filled with wagging tails, muddy paw prints, and the kind of love that only a dog can provide.
Bonez 4 Budz was born from a deep passion for animal enrichment and a desire to give back to the animals who give us everything. We believe that enrichment isn’t just fun, it’s essential. Enrichment helps reduce unwanted behaviors, supports mental and emotional well-being and most importantly, it brings dogs joy. Finding what makes each dog light up is what drives us every day.
At Bonez 4 Budz, we are more than just a pet boutique—we are a community. As an LGBTQ+ and women-owned small business, we are committed to partnering with local rescues, shelters, and organizations to support our shared mission: helping more dogs find and stay in loving homes.
We’re dog people. They’re our kids. We’re real people, doing our best to make tails wag and hearts full — one treat, one toy, one dog at a time.

Hello! I’m LJ, and I’m passionate about helping pets live fuller, more engaging lives through enrichment that goes beyond the basics. At home, I’m lucky to be surrounded by our pack of wonderfully unique animals and my amazing wife, Katie.
Katie and the owner of Bonez 4 Budz, Karina, have been close friends for years, and through that connection, I’ve had the joy of becoming part of this extended circle of animal lovers and kindred spirits. It’s a bond built on trust, shared values, and a deep love for the four-legged (and sometimes shelled!) members of our families.
Katie and I share our home with two lovable Bernedoodles, Bubba and Otis, our wise and independent cat Alex, our chill turtle Tiki, and the newest (and loudest!) member of the family, baby Maisey. Every one of them has their own personality, needs, and quirks — and I’ve learned that keeping them mentally and physically stimulated isn’t just good for them… it makes life better for all of us.

Hi! I’m Z — an animal lover to the core and proud mom to Robin, my blind senior pup. The bond between humans and their pets is what drives me to find engaging, fun, and meaningful ways to enrich the lives of both animals and their people.
I’ve poured that passion into my work with a local animal shelter and with the incredible team at Bonez. Together, we advocate for the kind of enrichment that doesn’t just keep pets happy — it can be the difference between a family staying together or not. Enrichment isn’t a luxury; it’s a necessity. And it’s our mission to help pet parents understand just how vital it is.
My dog, Robin, is who moves me to advocate for animals and their mental needs. He came into my life 11 years ago when he was a wild, bored, and naughty little puppy who needed constant entertainment to keep my stuff bite-mark free. Through trial and error, I’ve found what keeps his wheels turning and the activities he prefers. Committed to making his life as full as possible, my priority has always been his wellbeing, mentally and physically. We’ve moved to three different states, have had countless road trips and adventures, and been through monumental moments together. He’s convinced me soulmates exist, that love can truly be unconditional, and there’s no such thing as too many cuddles.
